PING : THE SOFTWARE DEPOT COOKBOOK
One question that I see over and over again in comp.sys.hp.hpux is "How do I create a software depot?" The answer is "there are several ways" (hardly surprising; this is a UNIX system after all).
This is the first revision of this document. It contains the templates that I use for adding products to the software depots that I maintain. I you have any corrections or suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Note: the "#" or "%" that preceeds each line is the shell prompt (I use tcsh). The "#" signifies the root user; "%" is an ordinary user.
