C. Technologies

The HP desktop and software management solution combines technologies from the Norton Administrator for Networks, acquired by HP in April 1997; PC Common Operating Environment (PCCOE), HP's internal desktop- and software- management solution that is currently used to manage more than 130,000 desktops and laptops; and HP OpenView Software Distributor, an automated software distributor for enterprise networks.

HP OpenView Desktop Administrator - a comprehensive desktop-computer management solution that can scale from a single site to a global, multi-site corporation - is a critical component of HP's desktop software management offering and provides the foundation for managing heterogeneous desktop computing environments. The desktop and software management solution adds value in three core areas: organization adaptability, business value management and Internet capability.

D. Organization Adaptability
