HP-UX 10.2 to 11 Transition Day

HP Reading - 19 March 2003

HP/Works members, colleagues from member organisations, and non-members are most welcome to attend. Please note, members of HP-Interex EMEA, HP-CUO, BITUG and HPCUA and those specifically invited by HP, can attend at member rates. All refreshments are included in the price. Why you should be starting to make the transition:

Support from HP for HP-UX 10 ceases in JUNE THIS YEAR. It is important that anyone still using this version of the operating system urgently puts in place a plan to migrate to HP-UX 11. In this workshop, HP/Works, in association with HP, will provide you with information on HP's support programme and technical details of the migration. Users who have already completed the migration will also be on-hand to share their experience.

The provisional agenda is:

9.30am Registration and Coffee

10.00am The Need to Upgrade, and HP's Upgrade Programme - Gary Kerrison, HP

Why you need to and when you should make the transition to the latest version of HP-UX.

10.45am Coffee

11.00am Upgrading to HP-UX 11i: The Technical Issues - Alan Grimble, HP

This section will coverthe key differences between the 10.20 and 11i versions of HP-UX with a review of the processes involved and the issues that may be faced when upgrading from 10.20.
