The biggest growth market in IT is security. This day will look at some of the solutions available with a bias towards the technical implementation. The day will cover: authentication (with a focus on Identrus), access control and authorization, and security for broadband systems. The provisional agenda is:

This presentation will explain the Identrus four-corner model, the technologies that make it work and an overview of the technical challenges of achieving Identrus compliance.

Digital certificates provide industries and companies with virtual IDs for use in the electronic world. The Valicert validation authority delivers a framework for validating digital certificates issued by any certificate authority in real time.

The Platform for Securely Managing e-Business. SiteMinder is a platform that provides shared services for centrally securing and managing user access to e-Business web sites whether they are intranet, extranet or Internet based.
14.00 Security for Broadband Systems - Steve Boniwell, ABC Solutions
With the growth of broadband access for the Internet, the need for security has increased by order of magnitude. This presentation will discuss the options available and focus on a Linux based firewall which can be adapted for the majority of systems.
