10.30 The Technical Aspects of High Availability - Rob Adams, HP
This presentation will cover the general aspects of High Availability from basic data protection
through to HP specific products like MC/ServiceGuard and MC/Lockmanager. The design of
systems to avoid a Single Point of Failure will be considered including non-hardware related
problems. (Coffee 11.00-11.15.)

13.15 High Performance, Limitless Availability - Andy Jones, Stratus and Geoff Hogg, HP
Stratus Computer supply the world's most available servers for use in mission critical applications.
As enterprises continuously exploit IT to create and sustain competitive advantage, the number of
applications that are mission critical has increased rapidly. Stratus will take a detailed look at
fault tolerant technology and its application. The presentation will include a detailed
demonstration and will look in depth at the technology.

15.30 Hewlett Packard's High Availability Support Services for UNIX and NT - Clare Loxley,
HP
An overview of HP's HA Support Services Portfolio and how the services are linked into the
overall technology solution. The presentation will also cover HP's total solution message that
outlines HP's ability to provide a total support solution for the customer - services as well as
technology. Also included, will be customer experiences with HA.
