10.00 NNM 6.0 New Features and Functionality - Paul Gillmore, HP

An outline of the additional features new to V 6.0 / A detailed description of the JAVA based web interface / Information about the new event correlation now available, (this used to be available only from IT/O) / Confirmed release dates and roadmap for future releases.

11.00 coffee

11.15 WEB Connect & Reporting for NNM 4.x & 5.x - Patrick Dine, Edge Technologies

A presentation of N-Vision, a JAVA based Web interface that will run with NNM V 4.0 and 5.0. The talk will also cover additional functionality available for V 5.0 and how this helps protect the investment of users who wish to remain at V 5.0.

12.15 Simple Data Collection with Scotty - Rob Bradshaw, Daresbury Laboratories

Scotty includes a Tcl extension which provides Network Management facilities. With a suitable SQL database interface, this makes it extremely easy to set up MIB Data Collection, eg. for traffic statistics. The talk will illustrate this with some simple examples.
