But how does HP Computer Peripherals Bristol, (CPB),
backup its own heterogeneous environment? According to independent
analysts, IDC, HP is the worldwide market leader for tape backup.
HP's 4mm business is run out of its Bristol, UK factory. John
Woodgate from Bristol IT department will discuss the problems
involved in backing up the mixed PC and UNIX systems which support
a wide cross section of functions at the Bristol site. He will
describe the existing backup solution and future plans. Al Slater,
a UNIX specialist from CPB's Solutions R&D lab will provide
a hands-on demo of some up and coming UNIX data protection solutions.
The HP personnel will be available all day to answer
questions on your own specific backup issues.

Legato Systems Inc, offers a family of storage management
applications that protect network-wide data, across heterogeneous
computing environments. Legato's NetWorker is now recognised as
the market leader in the UNIX and Windows NT based enterprise
storage management markets. Richard Kelly, Support Manager Northern
Europe, will discuss the technical detail of the features which
have contributed to putting NetWorker in this position.
