11.15am Securing Linux Servers - Nigel Edwards, HP Infrastructure Solutions Division

This talk will give an overview of various Linux security strategies and tools, and discuss their deficiencies.

1.00pm Achieving Highly Available Linux systems with LifeKeeper - Bipen Patel, Open Minds HA Solutions

LifeKeeper increases reliability by providing failover clustering for a wide range of applications and environments. This talk discusses how High Availability clustering can be achieved with LifeKeeper. (Including demo.)

3.00pm Customer Experience with Linux and Oracle 9iRAC - Richard Kirkwood, HP

A look at customers experiences in the real world, the good news and issues to plan around. A non-technical presentation.

3.45pm Perl in Business - Simon Cozens, Oxford University

Thinking about collaborative development? Do you immediately think of Java, C or C++? We'll look at some business case studies of how to get Perl's rapid prototyping without losing enterprise readiness, along with some collaborative development techniques for Perl programmers.
