The day will run from 09.00 (please register by 08.45) until 17.00 with breaks for refreshments in the exhibition hall. The Day will cover:

Details of HP OpenView New Products:

• Node Sentry - comprehensive network security. What it does and how, how to configure it and how to integrate it with NNM, IT/O, ManageX, etc.
• Access Manager - centralised access control (user profiles, passwords, access rights etc for a mixed IT environment from a central server). What it does and how to get the most out of it.
• CustomViews - details of this very new product.
• Other new products - an outline of other new products and what they do.

Service Navigator and Service Reporter - A technical overview of Service Navigator and Reporter - how to integrate them into IT/O, how to configure them for effective and meaningful event correlation and to get a service view of IT systems (eg MS Exchange has failed, not server ABC has failed).

Smart Plug-Ins - A technical explanation of Smart Plug Ins - what is a SPI, why would you use one, what extra functionality does it give you (eg on-line backups of databases). A product availability matrix will be explained. Listed here are some of the SPI's already available: SAP/R3, BAAN, Oracle, Informix, MS Exchange.

Q & A Session on any OV products. Any questions on any part of OpenView. We will endeavour to answer all we can on the day but will ensure follow-up answers for any anomalies.
