Provisional Agenda - Presentations will include:

Introduction to the Problem - Steve Boniwell

As more users implement HP-UX and Windows into their environments, there is a growing need to be able to access different applications simultaneously at the desktop. This presentation introduces the issues and gives an overview of some of the solutions.

Digital Independence (Futurelink) - Dave Palowkar

With the growth in mobile computing, users need to be able to access central systems from miscellaneous remote sites. Dave will give an overview of the system that he uses to allow digital independence for a mobile working environment. An on-line demonstration is planned.

The Citrix Solution - Davidson Barron

One solution that has been refined over the last few years is the use of a thin protocol which allows for efficient remote access to applications on-line. Davidson explains the technical aspects of the Citrix ICA environment which is now available for both UNIX and Microsoft server farms; and outlines the implementation of such a solution.
